Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of freight to designated stops along established routes.
- Loading and unloading trucks using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Interacting professionally with customers at delivery points to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintaining accurate delivery records and logbooks (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of driving experience in a logistics or delivery environment.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic logging devices (ELD) and scanning equipment.
