Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and transport goods to designated locations throughout Virginia Beach
- Optimize daily routes using GPS navigation to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery rates
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Load/unload merchandise with care to prevent damage and maintain inventory accuracy
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and handle inquiries professionally
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, signatures, and documentation for all shipments
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class B) with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or route specialist in logistics/transportation
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach area and regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
- Proficient with GPS technology and route planning software
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities for customer interactions
- Flexible availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
