Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight safely, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Adhere to assigned delivery routes and schedules to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Interact professionally with customers at each delivery point, handling complaints with care.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging devices (ELD) records.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Current DOT Medical Card and a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in a similar driving role.
- Strong working knowledge of Dallas and surrounding area roadways.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic computer proficiency for inputting delivery information.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
