Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles and adhere to all traffic regulations and company safety protocols
- Efficiently load/unload merchandise using proper equipment and techniques
- Plan optimal routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures for proof of service
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve delivery inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with dispatch team to adjust routes for real-time changes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience in commercial vehicles
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Dallas/Fort Worth area roadways and navigation systems
- DOT medical certification and willingness to pass random drug screenings
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
- Basic computer proficiency for delivery documentation and route planning
