Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations within Baltimore City and surrounding counties
- Plan efficient daily routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proper signatures for all shipments
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical safety and cleanliness before and after each shift
- Load and unload cargo with proper lifting techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and any issues
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A or B with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience with delivery background
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and operate pallet jacks/hand trucks
- Strong knowledge of Baltimore geography and surrounding areas
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong customer service orientation with professional communication skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be at least 21 years of age
