Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations throughout Columbus and surrounding areas
- Plan and optimize daily routes using GPS technology to maximize efficiency and minimize fuel consumption
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques and verify inventory accuracy
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve delivery-related inquiries promptly
- Adhere to all traffic regulations, company policies, and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class A or B) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience in delivery/logistics
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of Columbus metropolitan area and regional highways
- Proficiency using GPS navigation and delivery management software
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass mandatory background checks and drug screenings
- High school diploma or equivalent required
