Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods along designated DC metropolitan routes
- Optimize delivery schedules using GPS technology to ensure maximum efficiency
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and route planning software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work early morning/late evening shifts
