Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles on designated routes throughout Washington DC and surrounding areas
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all shipments
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adapt routes efficiently based on traffic conditions and delivery priorities
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery challenges
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC roadways and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic math abilities for delivery verification and inventory
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
