Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to designated customers and locations in the Omaha metro area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, dollies).
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in route delivery or logistics preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of local Omaha, NE geography and traffic patterns.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading.
