Responsibilities
- Route Execution: Safely and efficiently operate commercial vehicles to complete assigned delivery routes on time.
- Customer Service: Deliver friendly and professional service to all customers, handling product placement and inquiries with care.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load Management: Properly secure cargo, ensuring it remains safe during transit, and assist with loading/unloading as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and delivery status reports using company software.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving or route delivery.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, carry, and push items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Availability: Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Endorsements: Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are a plus but not always required.
