Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods across designated routes in Washington DC and surrounding areas
- Plan and optimize daily delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival at client locations
- Load/unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, obtain customer signatures, and resolve delivery discrepancies
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide exceptional customer service during all client interactions
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B or equivalent
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving/delivery experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Washington DC metropolitan area geography
