Responsibilities
- Safely transport passengers to requested destinations using the CityRide Connect app
- Maintain a clean, well-maintained vehicle that meets all safety standards
- Provide exceptional customer service with friendly, professional interactions
- Adhere to traffic laws and Newark's municipal transportation regulations
- Optimize routes using GPS navigation to maximize efficiency and earnings
- Report trip details and earnings accurately through the driver portal
- Complete periodic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Valid U.S. driver's license with at least 1 year of driving experience
- Smartphone with reliable data connection and GPS capabilities
- Proof of auto insurance meeting New Jersey state minimums
- Pass CityRide Connect's background check and vehicle inspection
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong knowledge of Newark streets and surrounding areas
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Minimum age of 21 years
