Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips following designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of bus equipment and maintain cleanliness
- Monitor student behavior and enforce safety protocols during transit
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for weather/traffic conditions while maintaining punctuality
- Complete daily logs and incident reports accurately
- Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus Endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills and patience working with children
- Ability to work early mornings and afternoons
- Basic knowledge of Milwaukee area geography
- Commitment to safety and punctuality
