Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate student attendance and incident reports
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Implement emergency protocols and student safety procedures
- Support remote administrative tasks via district portals
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- School bus driver certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work flexible hours with hybrid remote options
