Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities following designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Implement student management protocols ensuring positive bus climate
- Coordinate with parents/guardians and school staff via remote communication tools
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
- Respond proactively to emergency situations during transit
Qualifications
- Valid Kentucky Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication skills with remote work proficiency
- Ability to manage student behavior calmly and professionally
- Flexibility with early morning and afternoon shifts
- Commitment to safety and punctuality
