Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Utilize our remote portal for route planning and incident reporting
- Communicate effectively with parents and school administration
- Adhere to all federal DOT and North Carolina transportation regulations
- Assist students with special mobility needs during boarding
- Participate in monthly safety training sessions (remote options available)
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills for remote administrative tasks
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work flexible hours (early mornings/afternoons)
