Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials (gravel, sand, asphalt) across Baton Rouge metro area
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Navigate construction sites and residential areas while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team via remote communication tools for real-time routing updates
- Load/unload materials efficiently using hydraulic dump systems and site equipment
- Maintain clean vehicles and report mechanical issues promptly
- Support emergency response operations during severe weather events
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years dump truck operation experience in construction/transportation
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of Louisiana traffic laws and construction site safety standards
- Physical ability to climb equipment, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions
- Remote work capabilities via smartphone/computer for scheduling and communication
