Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages and documents to designated addresses within the Washington, DC metro area.
- Utilize handheld delivery devices (PDAs) to scan and confirm deliveries, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and handling sensitive materials with care.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Manage time effectively to meet strict delivery windows and route efficiency goals.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or a valid State Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience (preferred but not mandatory for top candidates).
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Basic proficiency with mobile technology, tablets, and GPS navigation systems.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check and drug screening.
