Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) adhering to all FMCSA and company safety regulations.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck and trailer are in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate and timely delivery of freight, adhering to designated delivery windows.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including electronic logging devices (ELD) logs, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and fellow drivers to ensure smooth operations.
- Represent Sunbelt Transport Solutions professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years (hazmat experience preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong knowledge of interstate and intrastate traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor tasks.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
