Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers on assigned regional routes between Columbus, OH and Florida.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring freight integrity throughout the transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold our company’s high standards of safety and customer service at every stop.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience (or willing to train qualified candidates).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and map reading.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
