As part of our elite Future Systems Division, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team to develop fault-tolerant quantum architectures, hybrid quantum-classical workflows, and secure quantum communication networks. You'll collaborate with partners at MIT, IBM Research, and the Department of Energy to solve problems in materials science, cryptography, and AI optimization. Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing infrastructure supporting 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum error correction protocols for industrial deployment
- Lead integration of quantum accelerators with classical HPC environments
- Architect secure quantum communication networks using QKD protocols
- Optimize quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance and drug discovery
- Establish quantum safety standards compliant with NIST IR 8100 framework
- Mentor quantum engineers and publish research in Nature Physics/Science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 5+ years building quantum systems or supercomputing infrastructure
- Expertise in quantum error correction, QKD, and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Deep understanding of cryogenic engineering and superconducting qubits
- Published research in quantum computing or topological materials
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
