Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop quantum-accelerated machine learning models
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation workshops
- Contribute to quantum security standards development with NIST
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed venues
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in at least one classical domain: cryptography, optimization, or ML
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Active Q clearance or ability to obtain government research clearance
