Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Optimize quantum error correction methodologies for commercial deployment
- Secure $5M+ in federal and corporate research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and similar conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Theory
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum cryptography
- Expertise in topological quantum computing models
- Strong Python/C++ proficiency with quantum simulation frameworks
- Track record of securing NSF or DoD research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
