Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum processor stability
- Create hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processor architectures
- Publish breakthrough findings in leading scientific journals and conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information science or top-tier computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra, probability, and complexity theory
