Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques for quantum hardware scalability
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum applications
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define quantum software requirements
- Secure federal and private research grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 5+ years experience)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
