Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead experimental validation on quantum annealing and gate-based systems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for NISQ-era hardware
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum software stacks
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure federal grants (DARPA, NSF) for quantum R&D initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum frameworks
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum computing
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
