Responsibilities

- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at sub-4K temperatures
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications for quantum error correction methods
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum-classical hybrid system integration
- Develop roadmaps for fault-tolerant quantum computing deployment by 2026
- Secure $2M+ in government and private research funding annually
- Present findings at international quantum computing conferences (Q2C, IEEE Quantum Week)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Proficiency in cryogenic quantum system calibration protocols
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum data analysis
- Ability to secure DoE or NSF quantum research grants
- Experience leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
