Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum solutions for finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Present findings at international conferences (QIP, APS March Meeting)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Proficiency with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Strong background in machine learning or high-performance computing
