Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and complex system simulation
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at major quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum machine learning applications
- Secure external funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Develop roadmaps for commercial quantum computing deployment by 2028
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and circuit optimization
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum information science journals
- Strong background in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and complexity theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)

- Proficiency in Python/C++ and high-performance computing environments
