Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction techniques for scalable quantum processors
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for 2026 applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype and validate quantum computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at leading conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum information theory and quantum error correction
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature Quantum, PRL)
- Proficiency with high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
- Strong background in machine learning and statistical modeling
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (Rigetti, IBM Quantum, IonQ)
