Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance qubit stability and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors compatible with software solutions
- Lead research initiatives targeting 2026 quantum computing milestones
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from government and industry partners
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or theoretical computer science
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters and cloud quantum services
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to tackle abstract theoretical challenges
- Proven ability to lead complex research projects and secure funding
