Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for commercial applications targeting 2026 deployment
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Partner with quantum hardware teams to optimize qubit stability and error correction
- Develop scalable quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise solutions
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through quantum computing hackathons
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and strategic partnerships with national labs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical applications
- Expertise in at least one classical computing domain (ML, cryptography, HPC)
- Experience securing government or corporate research grants preferred
