Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical 2026 applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant security systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $1M+ in federal grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Partner with industry leaders to commercialize quantum innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting qubits
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters (HPC)
- Clearance for DoD/NASA quantum security projects preferred
