Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubit platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times and error correction
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants ($2M+ target)
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Develop quantum software tools and SDKs for industry adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex theoretical problems
