Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits using Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Lead cross-functional research with materials science and AI teams
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming best practices
- Collaborate with government agencies on NIST quantum standards
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and ACM SIGPLAN conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing platforms
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Quipper)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Experience with cloud quantum services (Azure Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Security clearance or willingness to obtain government clearance
