Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in prototyping quantum hardware interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier scientific journals
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security initiatives
- Identify commercial applications for quantum breakthroughs
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm design
- Expertise in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Strong programming skills in Python/C++ with quantum libraries
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems preferred
- US citizenship required for government contract work
