Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in 3D quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware using superconducting and photonic systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at IEEE/APS conferences
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-accelerated neural networks
- Secure patents for novel quantum gate architectures and entanglement methods
- Advise on quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptography standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction (QEC) frameworks
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper)
- Published record in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing journals
- Hands-on experience with cryogenic quantum processors or photonic systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience securing DoD or NSF quantum computing grants
