Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental prototyping of quantum hardware systems at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error correction techniques to stabilize multi-qubit quantum processors
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum acceleration into classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and secure federal research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware control electronics
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Ability to secure DOE/NASA/NSF research grants
