Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning challenges
- Architect scalable quantum hardware interfaces and error correction protocols
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant security frameworks
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent applications for quantum innovations
- Simulate quantum systems using advanced modeling tools (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Collaborate with AI specialists to create hybrid quantum-classical workflows
- Present findings at international quantum computing symposia
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Python quantum libraries)
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms or trapped ion systems
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and statistical analysis
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Knowledge of post-quantum cryptographic standards (NIST PQC candidates)
