Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental research on quantum hardware systems and error correction
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to hybridize classical-quantum solutions
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum methodologies
- Develop patentable quantum computing architectures and protocols
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum computing research with published papers
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, QAOA, VQE)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Track record of securing research funding or industry partnerships
