Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for computational acceleration in drug discovery and climate modeling
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals
- Secure $1M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with ethics committee to establish quantum safety standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong track record of securing research funding
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit optimization
