Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and pharmaceuticals
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop novel quantum hardware architectures in collaboration with engineering teams
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at major conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Secure and manage research funding through government grants and industry partnerships
- Analyze quantum supremacy benchmarks and translate findings into commercial opportunities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE Quantum)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and many-body physics
- Proven track record of developing quantum algorithms with practical applications
- Experience with superconducting qubit platforms or trapped-ion systems
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
