Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Develop quantum cryptography solutions for post-quantum security infrastructure
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum processor architecture improvements
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and quantum mechanics
- Demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Knowledge of quantum hardware platforms (superconducting, trapped ions, photonics)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
