Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate on quantum hardware integration with engineering teams
- Lead research publications in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Manage quantum computing projects with $10M+ research budgets
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Partner with NASA, IBM, and academic institutions on quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit design
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological computing
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and linear algebra
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (Rigetti, IonQ, etc.)
- Security clearance for government quantum projects (preferred)
