Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using IBM, Google, and custom quantum processors
- Develop error-correction frameworks to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with materials science teams to engineer next-generation qubit architectures
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA and NSF quantum research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published 3+ peer-reviewed papers in Nature/Science or equivalent tier-1 journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Expertise in at least one quantum hardware platform (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
