Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Develop error-correction techniques to enhance qubit coherence times
- Simulate quantum systems using high-performance computing clusters
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into functional quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives to achieve quantum advantage in real-world applications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and statistical mechanics
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to publish high-impact research papers
- Knowledge of machine learning integration with quantum computing
- Excellent problem-solving skills and scientific rigor
