Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in 2026+ use cases
- Lead cross-functional research teams to overcome quantum decoherence and error correction challenges
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise-scale solutions
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize quantum computing innovations
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and partnerships with government agencies
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier-1 institution
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum circuit optimization and quantum machine learning
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion)
- Track record of securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational complexity
- Experience leading technical teams in high-stakes R&D environments
