Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols using superconducting qubits
- Develop error correction frameworks to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in NSF and DARPA grants for 2026 quantum roadmapping initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and algorithm design
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Proficiency in cryogenic quantum system operation and calibration
- Track record of securing government research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and topological qubits
