Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability in 5th-gen quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional research teams to prototype quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum conferences
- Secure $5M+ in DoE/NSF grants for advanced quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
- Experience securing government research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
