Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Optimize qubit coherence times and error correction protocols
- Lead research teams in publishing 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve quantum processor architecture
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2018-2023)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Published work in Nature/Science or IEEE Transactions
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubits
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills
- Excellent grant proposal writing track record
